Bruce & Felix

One of our favorite things to do together is travel and explore new places. We love experiencing different cultures, learning the history behind the places we visit, and trying local foods along the way. Whether it is a weekend road trip or an adventure to another country, we enjoy discovering new sights and creating memories together. Traveling has taught us to appreciate different perspectives, embrace new experiences, and find joy in the world around us.

At home, we enjoy a slower pace filled with simple moments. Bruce loves trying new recipes in the kitchen and working on projects that make our home feel warm and welcoming. Felix enjoys reading, writing, and caring for our five pets, plants, and aquarium. Together, we spend our time making our house feel like a home and creating a space filled with comfort, laughter, and love.

We dream of sharing these experiences with a child someday, from family vacations and new adventures to quiet evenings at home spent together.

Our home is filled with lots of love and laughter. We live on the outskirts of Colorado Springs, where the city meets the countryside, surrounded by caring neighbors, military families, retired veterans, and local farmers. It is the perfect place to raise a family and build a life centered on connection, belonging and a strong sense of community. It is also a highly sought-after area known for its excellent schools, which was important to us.

We look forward to family dinners, backyard adventures with our pets, celebrating holidays together, sightseeing the farmers’ horses, and creating cherished traditions for years to come. More than anything, our home will be a place where a child will always feel loved and supported, knowing they have a family cheering them on every step of the way.

Family is at the center of our lives. Although our families are small, they share close and meaningful bonds built on love, support, and spending time together. Many of our favorite childhood memories are of birthdays, holidays, and family gatherings that brought everyone together and created a strong sense of belonging. Today, we remain very close with our parents, siblings, and extended military family, making it a priority to stay connected and spend time together whenever possible. We also enjoy taking annual family vacations, whether that means going on a cruise, visiting family across the country, or exploring a new destination together.

A child joining our family would be welcomed by a large network of family, friends, and our extended military community. They would grow up experiencing two cultures, learning from diverse perspectives, celebrating different traditions, and always knowing they are surrounded by love, encouragement, and support. More than anything, we are excited to provide a home filled with laughter, kindness, and acceptance, where a child feels safe to be themselves, and pursue their dreams.

Bruce: One of the things I love most about Felix is his kindness and steady presence. He brings balance to our lives and leads with empathy, patience, and understanding. I feel incredibly lucky to have found someone who loves so deeply and genuinely cares for others. Whether he is caring for our pets, tending to his plants, or supporting others, his compassion shines through in everything he does. Animals are naturally drawn to Felix, which speaks volumes.

Felix: It is hard to choose just one thing I love about Bruce because he is my husband and my best friend. But, if I have to choose, then it is his joy. He fills our home with laughter, makes ordinary moments feel special, and always shows up in very meaningful ways, making busy days feel lighter.
