Brock & Curtis

Our love story began, like many modern romances, with a simple swipe right.

After a few weeks of messaging, we knew we had to meet in person, despite living a couple of hours apart. In June 2018, Curtis made the drive to meet Brock (and his two dogs, Prin and Rufus) and we haven't looked back since.

We navigated long distance dating for a year before Curtis sold his home and moved in with Brock. Over the next few years, we focused on building a solid foundation together.

In September 2022, while preparing to board an Alaskan cruise with Brock’s family, Brock proposed to Curtis in Seattle. We spent the following year planning an intimate beach wedding, surrounded by our closest friends and family, and were married in October 2023. We have spent our time together cultivating a life full of exploration, and unwavering support for one another. The next, and most exciting, chapter in our story is growing our family. We are so ready to share our love, our home, and our adventures with a child.

We live in a cozy three bedroom home in a welcoming, diverse subdivision an hour outside of Nashville. Our favorite feature is our spacious, fenced in backyard with a screened in deck, perfect for playtime and relaxation. We take great pride in our community, which offers excellent schools and convenient access to local amenities. We are also just an hour from Nashville’s vibrant sports, music, and cultural scene.

Our home is anchored by our two dogs, Prin and Rufus, who are truly part of the family. Whether they are chasing toys in the yard or curling up with us, they bring endless joy to our lives. Our home is a place filled with love, laughter, and plenty of room to grow.

Our families offer a wonderful blend of traditions. Curtis’ extended family is large and bustling, with 8 aunts, 1 uncle, and 24 first cousins. They cherish regular Wednesday night suppers in Kentucky and an annual camping trip that has been a staple for generations. In contrast, Brock’s family is smaller and values consistent, cozy gatherings; they grew up enjoying Sunday dinners at Grandma’s in Michigan, complete with tennis matches and pool days.

Though our relatives live in other states, we remain deeply connected through frequent visits and calls. Here in Tennessee, our friends have become our 'found family.' Their children know us as their uncles. We frequently host dinners to keep the tradition of shared, meaningful meals alive.

We are so excited to welcome a child into this wide, loving, and supportive network. We cannot wait to share these traditions, both inherited and created, as we watch a child grow surrounded by the love of our family and our devoted community of friends.

We love exploring the world together, especially with family.

Curtis’ favorite memory is hiking the Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park; the glaciers, waterfalls, and wildlife made it an unforgettable escape into nature.

Brock’s highlight was our recent trip to Amsterdam and Paris. We loved the mix of stunning architecture, like the windmills and the Eiffel Tower, and the profound history at the Anne Frank House.

Between our Jamaican honeymoon and our bucket list trip to Italy, we have built a lifetime of memories.

Whether experiencing new cultures or enjoying the great outdoors, we believe the best adventures are shared. We cannot wait to bring a child along to discover the beauty of the world with us.
