We are committed to giving your child a safe and steady place to grow. One where they can explore who they are, chase their dreams, and always know they are cherished. Becoming parents in this way is something we have prepared our hearts and our lives for. We have so much love to give.

Our Hobbies & Passions

We’re all about keeping life full of adventure, fun, and good company. We love to travel and check out new places, whether it’s a big trip or a quick weekend getaway. When we’re out fishing, that’s our time to relax and see who gets the better catch (we are very competitive when fishing!). We consider fishing as free therapy. At home, you can usually find us in the garden or on the back porch watching a game. Sports are a big part of our lives, too. We both played several sports in high school and Austyn played basketball in college. Also, Austyn’s brother is a college basketball coach in Missouri. And through everything, family is at the center. They’re our favorite people to travel with, fish with, and watch games with. All these things together make our lives feel full, connected, and just a lot of fun.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a three-bedroom, two and a half-bath story and a half home with a garden, several plants, three dogs, a cat, two tortoises, and fish. Our gated neighborhood is a lakeside community surrounded by the national forest, away from traffic and noise. Our neighbors are on a first name basis with one another. Often, you will see several neighbors stopping to chat while on their walks or driving around on their golfcarts. We can easily go fishing, take a hike, or go swimming in one of the two neighborhood pools. We come together for holidays such as Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve where there are live bands, lots of food, and entertainment down at the pavilion. We also consider our neighbors as part of our village.

Our Family & Friends

Denise has one brother and one adopted sister. She and her brother have been close since day 1 (they’re only 10 months apart) and even closer now with both of their parents in heaven. Denise helped raise her 4 nephews and now as adults, they still tell stories about their adventures. From cruises to 4-wheeling, fishing to camping, the boys are all still so close with Aunt Niecey, even with being married and some with children of their own. So, Austyn and Denise buy presents for birthdays just about every month out of the year.

Austyn has three brothers with one of them as an adopted brother. Her relationship with them is full of fun and strength. When Austyn and Denise lost three babies in two separate pregnancies, the first people that checked on them were Austyn’s brothers. She is an aunt with another niece on the way! Austyn’s parents are divorced but they are still friends. Austyn’s mom will do anything necessary to ensure her children are happy.

Our friends are considered family. If there is a major event in their lives or in ours, we are all celebrating with one another. They are our village.

Our Favorite Adventures

We’ve been lucky to travel to some incredible places, and each one has its own story. Alaska will always stand out for us. The fishing there is unreal, but it’s the people who make it unforgettable. Iceland was another favorite. We fished in some of the clearest water we’ve ever seen, and the freshness of the food blew us away. Even a simple meal tasted like it came straight from nature. Cabo gave us sunshine, relaxation, and those perfect ocean views you never get tired of. Scotland completely amazed us with its history. Walking through castles and old streets felt like stepping back in time. Every trip left us wanting more. We are so excited and ready to include our child(ren) in our adventures.
