dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Parent,
We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to learn about who we are as a couple and consider us as parents for your precious baby. We understand that this decision is incredibly personal and significant, and we are deeply honored to be considered a part of your journey.
As a family, we are committed to providing a loving, nurturing, and supportive environment for your child. We promise to cherish and care for them with all our hearts, ensuring they grow up surrounded by love, joy, and opportunities to thrive. We have an incredible support system, a beautiful home, and have so much love to offer. We understand each child is unique, and we hope to support your child in all ways possible. Your consideration means the world to us, and we are profoundly grateful for the chance to be entrusted with such a beautiful gift.
Thank you once again for considering us. We are here to support you in any way we can and are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to the possibility of welcoming your baby into our family.
With Love, Alyssa and Simon
About Us
Hi, we are Alyssa and Simon! We met at the end of 2017 by swiping right. We are a Tinder success story! We married in September of '21 and welcomed our son in February of '24. Alyssa works from home as a Sr. Security Compliance Specialist, and Simon works in the office as a Facilities Specialist. We love football (Giants vs. Eagles family), spending weekends grilling and being in the pool during the summer, family walks, and we are Christmas fanatics! While he plays far less often now since being a Dad, Simon absolutely loves playing golf when he can on the weekends. Alyssa doesn't mind because it allows her 1:1 time with our son or to sneak a trip into Marshalls! We are both very easy going and love a good laugh. While we understand some moments in life require seriousness, we like to keep things lighthearted and fun.
Our Home & Neighborhood
We live in a small neighborhood in a cute town in Connecticut. Our raised ranch is a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with plenty of living space for kids. Downstairs we have a family room and a separate playroom for the kids. We have a fenced-in backyard with a pool. Just 5 minutes down the road is a larger city, where its main street is filled with many restaurants that we love going to on any given night! We have two pups, both of which we rescued. Oliver, our first pup, is 7 and loves to just relax at home. Ben, our 2nd pup, is 4, has a ton of energy and is best friends with our son. Our town has an A rating for teachers, clubs/activities, and athletics, making it a great town for raising children, offering many opportunities for them to thrive and succeed.
Our Family & Friends
Simon’s family is small, consisting of his mom, brother, sister-in-law and nephew. His close friend group are also like family to Simon. Alyssa has a large family and is the middle child of 3. Both her brother and sister have spouses, and she has a newborn niece. Alyssa’s part of a blended family of 15, including their significant others and children. Her mom is 1 of 4, and she has more than 50 family members on her mom’s side. Lots of chaos, but no other way she would rather have it!
Simon’s mom lives in New Zealand, and while she visits when she can, they are very grateful for Facetime. Simon and his brother are 18 months apart and are best friends. He lives 20 minutes away and they get together often. Alyssa is 14 months older than her sister, and they are also best friends. She lives in NYC, and they love to go explore, try new restaurants, and experience pop-up events.
Simon is Polish, and one of our favorite family traditions is Wigilia (Polish Christmas Eve). They enjoy coming together to make homemade pierogies. It’s truly a special night! Alyssa is Portuguese and also embraces the wonderful European culture and traditions.
What Led Us To Adoption
Since she was a young girl, Alyssa has always wanted to adopt. When the devastating tsunami hit Sri Lanka in 2004, Alyssa was only 11. At that time, she asked her mom to please bring some of the children home to join their family.
While they originally had planned on 2 biological children and then adopting, Alyssa’s first labor and delivery resulted in serious health concerns. Mommy and baby are healthy today, but we are unable to risk future deliveries. We feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to adopt and to welcome another child into our loving, nurturing home.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
