My Hobbies & Passions

I find joy and fulfillment in activities that connect me with nature. My passions center on self-reliance, and respect for the environment. My hobbies include fishing and gardening. I find it satisfying to watch a seed grow into a thriving plant, through to harvest . These hobbies teach valuable lessons and give me balance. I have a love for the outdoors, I like to hike trails or go camping. These activities are opportunities for continuous learning and skill building. I have dedicated time to developing practical survival skills, which I find incredibly empowering. This includes learning how to responsibly identify local edible and medicinal plants—understanding the subtle difference between sustenance and danger. I am also learning passive hunting methods, such as effectively using fishing techniques or setting humane snare traps when necessary. These skills underscore my commitment to resourcefulness. I look forward to the day I can pass this respect for nature and these practical life skills to a child, sharing adventures and building a life grounded in resilience, curiosity, and a love for the wilderness.

Our Home & Neighborhood

I live in a duplex in Arizona. My neighborhood is inclusive, friendly and community oriented, the residents include young people and some older folks who are original home owners in this historic and mid-century neighborhood, with neighborhood watch for crime prevention. The district hosts community events every year, like the annual Street Fair, the Veterans Day parade and the parade of lights during the holidays. A big park is nearby with a fishing pond, golf courses, a swimming pool, and an amusement park. I live in a school district that is highly regarded for its strong academics, rich programs, high parent involvement and focus on whole-child development. The public library is close and has a lot of fun and stimulating programs for child development.

Our Family & Friends

I have a younger brother and sister who both live in Utah and are as excited as I am about this journey I am on and my efforts to build my own family. Also my cousin and his family who live in Arizona are very close to me, we are close and I talk to him and see him often. My mother is a 72 year old woman who lives in Nevada. I have a very strong and supportive network of friends just in my immediate community of neighbors who are excited for me and have proven to be helpful and resourceful in the past. When I’m spending time with my family, friends and neighbors, we might go out to eat but besides that, together we engage in activities like fishing, hiking, camping, and any time the weather is good for it, so many outdoor activities.

My Favorite Adventures

My favorite place to find peace is the beach. Building sandcastles, swimming, searching for seashells and fishing are activities that bring me joy and a sense of calm, which I hope to pass on. A grounding yoga practice that centers my mind and my participation in most outdoor activities, which keep me active and connected to nature. One of my most memorable vacations was a trip to Washington D.C. It was an inspiring journey through national monuments and museums that instilled a deep appreciation for history and culture. These passions for nature, well-being, and learning define who I am. I look forward to sharing these values and experiences with a child, providing a nurturing home filled with stability, joy, and opportunities for shared exploration.
