Are Hoping to Adopt a Baby

dear expectant mother

We understand this is an incredibly difficult decision and we empathize with your desire for your baby to be placed with a supportive family. We have been wanting to expand our family for years, but waited until we could create a safe and permanent home. Not only will your baby live in a house full of love, but they will have support pouring in from their extended family as well.

We love to travel and are looking forward to exploring around the US and abroad as a family. We are excited to learn about all different cultures and teach our child the wonders of the world. It is important for us to raise a human being who is accepting of others, and we believe that starts with exposure to people from different backgrounds, countries, religions, abilities, and everything else that makes someone special.

We are dedicated to helping your baby understand the culture they come from, and will always make sure they know they are loved by you and that adoption is never an easy decision.

About Us

Our day to day life is pretty simple. We work out (Toneyell does, but Catherine mostly just claims to), go to work, and spend time at home with our (very spoiled) pup, Zoe. On the weekends we enjoy being with family and friends, working in our yard, and spending time together doing anything. We enjoy taking Zoe for walks around our neighborhood, random Karaoke nights in the living room, and playing games. We love spending time with family; joking, teasing, and eating good food. Summers are great because Catherine’s mom has a pool and her dad can throw down on the grill and it brings the family together almost every weekend. In the winter, we are more home bodies, but we do like to gather on the weekends for a cozy meal and board games.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We recently bought our forever home, which we call a dog house because we bought it for Zoe… I mean our future family. We knew we wanted a one story home so Zoe could navigate her environment and we wanted a neighborhood where our future kids could play outdoors and even walk to school. Our home is spacious while still feeling comfortable and close. We are a 5 minute walk to two of our neighborhood parks and have walking trails throughout the neighborhood.

Our Family & Friends

We go to Alabama a couple times a year to see Toneyell’s sister's family. While we’re there we love to stay home and spend as much time as we can snuggling our niece and nephews. We also travel to California to see Catherine’s extended family. We love to play board games and sit in grandma’s living room eating a home-cooked meal.

When we’re at home, we see Catherine’s parents, two brothers, and aunt and uncle regularly. We will get together for a BBQ, a bingo night at a local restaurant, or even just to say a quick hello.

Our friends’ kids are all two years old or younger and we love to have everyone over to our house and let the kids play while the adults catch up. This is a fun time because we have been friends for almost 15 years, so sharing these moments is very special.

Christmas, and all of December really, is spent decorating cookies, exchanging gifts, watching movies (yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie), listening to Christmas music, and playing games. Birthdays are very special to us and we love to celebrate each year with a homemade cake.

Our Favorite Adventures

Two years ago, in 2024, we took a trip from Washington state to Alabama. We loaded our most important items into our cars and hit the road. Zoe hated the car but she was able to make it 2500 miles and many stops later to Alabama. We had the pleasure of spending 9 months with our newborn twin nephews and 8 year old niece. It was such a special time for us to be a part of their daily lives. We drove our niece to school and back every day, we watched the babies while their parents caught up on much-needed rest, and helped out overall with the adjustment to the new family unit. We will cherish those memories forever.
