Damian & Nichole

Our story began nearly 30 years ago in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where we met as high school sweethearts. We fell in love quickly, and just six months later, at only 18 years old, we got married. 27 years later, we are still each other’s best friend and biggest supporter.

Our marriage has carried us through so many seasons of life. We have celebrated incredible joys, faced heartbreaking loss, and learned that we can get through anything as long as we have each other. One dream has remained constant throughout our marriage: becoming parents. After experiencing infertility and loss, our desire to grow our family never went away. If anything, it made us more certain of the love and commitment we have to give. We are excited about the possibility of adoption and hope to share the life we have built with a child who will be loved beyond measure.

We are fortunate to live on a beautiful one acre property beneath towering oak trees in Central Texas, just a short walk from a nearby lake. Our home is peaceful, spacious, and surrounded by nature, giving a child plenty of room to explore, play outside, and make memories.

Our three dogs are a huge part of our family and are truly our babies. They bring so much joy and personality to our home, and we can already picture a child growing up alongside them. We love being outdoors, spending time together, and enjoying the simple moments at home. We hope our child will grow up feeling safe, secure, encouraged, and surrounded by love.

Family has always been at the center of our lives, and we are grateful to have people around us who love us and will love our child. We grew up with strong family values and learned the importance of showing up for the people you love. We look forward to sharing those same values with our child.

We are also fortunate to have a strong support system close by. We have family who will be there for our child through life’s milestones, as well as close friends nearby who have babies of their own. We look forward to our children growing up together and creating lifelong friendships. We are also lucky to have employees who have become like family and are already excited to be “Uncles.” Knowing our child will be surrounded by so many people who care for them means so much to us.

Our family traditions are especially important to us. Holidays are a big deal in our home. Thanksgiving means a huge homemade turkey and gathering around the table, while Christmas means decorating the house, cooking special meals, and starting Christmas morning with Niki’s childhood Christmas VHS. We can’t wait to create new traditions and memories with our child.

One of the things we love most about each other is how well we complement one another. Niki is outgoing, nurturing, and full of energy, while Damian is steady, hardworking, and always someone you can count on. We make each other laugh, support each other’s dreams, and genuinely enjoy doing life together.

After 27 years of marriage, we still love spending time together, whether we are watching sports, enjoying the outdoors, celebrating a holiday, or simply relaxing at home with our dogs. We have learned that a strong marriage is built on friendship, patience, and choosing each other every day.
