dear expectant mother
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us to be parents to your child. We know that this is a very courageous act for you, and we are so grateful for your strength. We could not feel more honored to be part of this process with you.
We would like to make a pledge to you and your child. We promise to love your child unconditionally. We promise to read to your child every night, so they have the foundation to learn about friendships, acceptance, and new worlds. We promise not only to share our interests with your child, but to encourage him or her to explore their own interests and passions. We promise to build a sense of adventure in your child by learning about the world around them through our community and travel. Above all else, we promise that you will be a part of your child’s story. We will talk to your child about his or her background and history, and we will let him or her know every day how much they are loved by so many people.
We are so excited to be parents, and we look forward to sharing this incredible journey with you.
Steve and Lindsay are high school sweethearts. Lindsay first fell in love with Steve’s outgoing, goofy personality; Steve loves Lindsay’s infectious laugh and her amazing intelligence. We have been together for over half our lives, and we couldn’t imagine our lives any differently. We have been married for nine years. Lindsay is a seventh-grade English teacher, and Steve works mostly from home in the insurance industry. While Lindsay is off for the summer, we enjoy going for long rides on our bicycles and traveling around the globe. We also love going to movies, cooking together, working on projects around our home, and cuddling with our dogs on the couch.
Our Home & Pets
We live in the suburbs of Chicago, in one of the top school districts in Illinois. We live in a quiet cul-de-sac that has lots of kids around. We have a beautiful four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with a large finished basement. On hot days. we enjoy relaxing in our in-ground pool, which has its own outdoor pool house with two additional bathrooms. Our family also includes two small dogs, Wicket and Miley. Wicket has a personality many times his size, and Miley believes she is everyone’s mother. They both love people, including our friend’s children, and they love to go on walks with us around the neighborhood or just cuddling with us on the couch while we watch TV or movies.
Our Extended Family
We are fortunate in that we live very close to Lindsay’s entire extended family. We are within half an hour of Lindsay’s parents and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandma. We love getting together with our family on holidays, birthdays, and various recitals. Our family gatherings are loud, energetic, and filled with laughter. Lindsay has a younger sister, who she is very close with. Steve’s mom lives near Disneyland, and the rest of his family is within a few hours of our home. We always look forward to our visits with her.
During the fall, we love to go apple-picking at a family farm near Wisconsin. Lindsay bakes amazing pies, cakes, and other delicious treats with our harvest. We always look forward to the Festival of Lights in Downtown Chicago with Lindsay’s parents and sister. We also enjoy participating in bicycling events together, and we try to go on a vacation every year. We have been to many wonderful places together and can’t wait to continue our adventures and traditions together as a family.
We have a great support system in our family, and they couldn’t be more excited for us and our plans for adoption.
What Led Us To Adoption
Early in our marriage, and even when we were dating, we dreamt of becoming parents through adoption. While we did initially try to start our family a few years ago, we experienced fertility issues. When given the option of fertility treatment or adoption, we wholeheartedly decided adoption was the perfect way to complete our family.
We’ve heard many stories from others who have gone through the adoption process, and we firmly believe this is the path we were meant to take to our dream of being parents.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
