dear expectant mother

Dear expectant mother,

It’s okay to be overwhelmed. You are making one of the hardest decisions of your life. We cannot begin to understand the pain that you must be going through in this trying hour. We are without words to console you, and without experience to feel your pain. What we can say, honestly, is thank you.

Thank you. On behalf of ourselves, for considering sharing your beautiful baby. Thank you. On behalf of your baby, for all of the opportunities they will have. Thank you. On behalf of all of the people your baby will meet, love, and touch throughout their life because you made that possible. Thank you. For the dream of our family that you’re making reality. Thank you. From your baby’s future brothers and sisters for sharing with them. Thank you. From our extended family and friends who already love this baby that they haven’t met. Thank you. From our overly-friendly dog for all of the free snacks she shouldn’t have gotten. Thank you. For making the hard choice. Thank you. For all that you are to your baby and all you will be to them in the future. Thank you. From all of us.

Sincerely,
All of us

About Us

Hi, we are John and Meghan.

John is a software engineer and entrepreneur, with degrees in physics and mathematics. He is always looking for ways to grow himself mentally, financially, and spiritually. He is a drummer and will do anything for a laugh. Meghan is a full-time nanny who has raised over a dozen children in the last decade. She moved to Florida in 2013 to work as a “Fairy-Godmother-in-Training” at Disney’s Magic Kingdom doing princess makeovers for kids. Since she was young, Meghan has wanted to be a Mom because of the wonderful example she had in her own Mom. She is looking forward to staying home with our future children.

We value honesty, kindness, and family above all else.

Growing up 1000 miles from each other, we would have never met had any one of many events not happened. It’s a crazy story and one we would love to share with you. Since we met, we have shared many challenges and amazing experiences together which have made our relationship stronger.

Our Home & Pets

We love traveling and we cannot wait for our future child to be able to travel with us. Since the pandemic, due to John’s ability to work remotely, we have been blessed to be able to split our time between Florida (close to John’s family) and New Jersey (close to Meghan’s family) with our overly-friendly, plott-hound mix Lana who loves everyone and everything – all the time.

If we are able to walk through the adoption process with you, we will be living in John’s hometown – a suburban university town, surrounded by his extended family. During our time there our future child will get to splash around at family pool parties and meet Mickey Mouse.

Our New Jersey home is a shore town which has a beach, boardwalk, and sleepy small-town feel in the off-season when we are there. We stay in this family vacation home fall to spring to be near Meghan’s family. During this time our future child will get to chase bunnies around our yard with our dog, build a snowman, and ride boardwalk rides.
We can’t wait to share all of this with our future child.

Our Extended Family

We each have one younger sister and lots of cousins. John’s sister and her husband have a blended family with one 9-year-old son. Meghan’s sister is her best friend. We talk, text, and hang out with our siblings and cousins constantly. Both of our extended families observe all the traditional American Christian holidays together.

John’s Dad is his hero. He is a generous and hardworking 2nd generation locksmith in Florida. John grew up working in his Dad’s shop – accompanying him at work since before he could walk. “Papa John” will love to continue this tradition with our future baby.

John’s Mom LOVES being a “Nana”! She is always hyper-focused on making sure that her family is happy, healthy, and safe. She teaches high school and was the influence that inspired John to get his Masters Degree.

Meghan’s Dad is fun, honest, hardworking, and would do anything for his family. He works in maintenance at a retirement community and makes sure there’s never a dull moment when he’s around.

Meghan’s mom passed away in 2019. Meghan attributes most of her lifetime want for being a mom to the great example she had in her own mom.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption was always independently part of our plans – even before we met. Meghan’s father and aunt are both adopted, so adoption was always openly and positively discussed within her family. One of John’s best friends he met in college was adopted which began John’s awareness of adoption. We discussed early on in our relationship that we feel we have something special together that we want to pass along to a child. Both of us truly believe we can give your baby a home and family that will make them feel safe, loved, and empowered to achieve whatever they want to achieve in their life.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
