dear expectant mother
We are so incredibly grateful for you, and we respect you so much. The decision to carry your baby is so wonderful. We cannot imagine how difficult this process must be, both physically and emotionally. You are giving the most amazing gift.
We’ve been calling this amazing human we haven’t met yet “Baby Sunshine.” One of the kids Sarah babysits suggested it, and it feels so fitting (and more appropriate than what one of her two-year-old students suggested, which was Snake). We can promise you we will love Baby Sunshine. We will love him or her so much, no matter what. We will give Baby Sunshine the best life we possibly can.
We are so excited to share the things we love to do, like camping and hiking. We both grew up spending lots of time playing outside, and that’s a love we’re hoping to pass along. We can’t wait for our first holidays together, having presents under the tree for Baby Sunshine, and dressing up for Halloween. (Sarah will probably make the costumes herself.) We’re also excited for the quiet moments at home spent as a family. Most of all, we’re ready for our little family to feel complete.
We are Max and Sarah! We met in college and got married in 2013. Max is a software engineer. He is hard-working, caring, and passionate. Sarah is an early education teacher for one- and two-year-olds. She is compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated. We love living in Colorado and taking advantage of all it has to offer. In the summer, you can find us camping, hiking, or backpacking, and in the winter, we’ll be on the slope; Max snowboards, and Sarah skis. In his free time, Max also enjoys skateboarding, board games, and riding his motorcycle. Sarah loves reading, singing and playing ukulele, all manner of arts and crafts, and riding her horse. We both grew up in the Midwest and will never say no to a float trip, going to the lake, or a good barbeque. As parents, we seek to be accepting, loving, and supportive.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a four-bedroom house on a quiet street. Our house backs up to an elementary school. Our community has several recreation centers we have access to (two within a mile of our house), with everything from swimming pools to sports, dance classes, and more. We have two cats and two dogs. Our pets love kids. We know our dog Missy will be an extra momma to the baby and will do everything to help watch over him or her. Our dog Sophie is more excited about the “dropping food on the floor” stage and assisting with clean up.
Our Extended Family
Sarah is an only child. Her extended family is large as her dad is one of seven kids. Holiday traditions include the whole family getting together to share a meal and wrapping paper fights at Christmastime.
Max is one of four kids, and it is organized chaos when we are all together. We play a ton of games, and we sometimes have family Spades tournaments. We play Canasta and all sorts of board games. Thanksgiving with his family is fairly traditional, but the day after Thanksgiving, everyone works together and makes a ton of Mexican food. On Christmas, we all gather round the Christmas tree and sort out the presents. Then we take turns opening a gift. We go from oldest to youngest. We don’t have a traditional Christmas dinner but instead make a list of all the snacks we want to have. We work together making them. Chick-fil-A nuggets are a must, and we use the leftovers for chicken and waffles the next morning.
If you choose us, your baby will be the first grandchild for both our families. We shared with them we had started the adoption process when we were visiting for the holidays. To say they are excited would be an understatement!
What Led Us To Adoption
We always planned on having children, but after a few years, we began to accept having biological children was not going to be an option for us, at least not without invasive, costly, and stressful medical intervention. Sarah grew up with cousins who were adopted and had childhood friends who were also adopted. We never felt strongly about having biological children. We’ve always just known our home will not be complete without a child, or children, in it.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
