Thank you for reading our profile and considering us for the honor of being your baby’s family! Your strength and courage in making this difficult decision are undeniable, and we truly admire you. Your baby will be loved and supported endlessly if you choose us. Your decision will always be honored by honest conversations between us and your child about you and the love that went into choosing us as the right family.
We firmly believe families are built by those you surround yourself with, so we can’t wait to show your baby all the longtime friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and special people who are part of our lives. To know your baby and Elizabeth will always have the bond of adoption between them is very important to us. Your baby will be provided with great opportunities in life by attending great schools and being in sports, band, art, or whatever makes them happy. We will expose your baby to lots of different cultures and ideas while celebrating their individual culture and what makes them special and unique.
Your decision is personal and special, but if you choose us, we will be humbled, excited, grateful, and SO happy to be able to complete our family and have a beautiful baby to love and raise into a strong, caring, awesome individual. Elizabeth has so many hugs she can’t wait to share!

About Us
In addition to being super proud parents of their 2 yr old daughter, Courtney is an astrophysicist who gets to travel and work on really unique projects, and Kurtis is a high school social studies teacher and head soccer coach at an inner city school. We both love our jobs and feel very rewarded by what we do. We also coach Kurtis’ high school soccer team together since Courtney played competitively through college and helps trains the players - we make a great team! We love watching the students get better as players and people. When we aren’t working or coaching, we really enjoy being outdoors with our daughter, Elizabeth, and our dog, Zoe. Whether it’s working in the garden, hiking, or playing outside, we have a blast as a family.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a great city with a small-town feel and amazing people. We built our home in one of the top school districts in the state so our kids could have the best opportunities. Our backyard is huge, with a playset, lots of trees, and room to play. We are within driving distance of beaches, mountains, and Space Camp. On the weekends, the neighborhood kids are out playing, and we often go for family walks with the dog or teaching Elizabeth how to ride her first bike. Unfortunately, our cat, Rupert, can’t go on walks with us, although Courtney tried to walk him on a leash one time. He spends his time cuddling on the couch with us and bossing the dog around.
Our Extended Family
Both our parents retired and moved across the country to be closer to our family as we raise Elizabeth and our future child. Courtney’s family is small but very close. She has one brother and three beautiful, spunky nieces who love to play with Elizabeth. Kurtis has a very large family, with a brother, a sister, four aunts and uncles, and 15 cousins, most of whom were adopted. They are spread across states, so having his parents and sister move to town was really special. Both sets of grandparents love being part of the important events in our lives and being able to pick Elizabeth up anytime they want to play with her.
Holidays are very important to all of us, with both sides of the family getting together for one big celebration over Easter, Christmas, birthdays, and everything in between. We have lots of BBQs and trips to the pool and local attractions as a family. Everyone is excited for the next addition to our family. There is no shortage of fun, terrible dad jokes and unconditional love.
Our Adoption Story
Our greatest joy in life is our daughter! We adopted Elizabeth in 2019 and have loved every minute. We were both touched by adoption growing up through our extended families and always knew it would be part of our journey as a couple. That first adoption process was challenging, but once we found Angel and an amazing and caring birthmom chose us, the joy and love we experience with Elizabeth led us to start the journey again. We want our daughter to have a brother or sister, to relate to them, and to play with them every day. Both of us are so excited to welcome another little one into our lives to complete our family.

Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
