dear expectant mother

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and consider us to raise your incredible child. You have already been so brave in the choice of making an adoption plan. Knowing you have so much love for your child and are willing to share them with someone else is incredibly selfless and courageous. We have talked about being parents ever since we started dating, and we have been trying to grow our family ever since we got married and are eager to bring a child into our home. We hope to be parents to your incredible child and help them grow to be kind, patient, open minded, strong, and hard-working. We would love the opportunity to have a relationship with you and have your child know you, if that is something you would like.

When we imagine becoming parents, we see the village that has surrounded us and all who have blessed our marriage by being there for us. We can’t wait to watch your child grow and become the person they are meant to be. We are eager to teach them how to play an instrument or how to throw a ball.

We have waited so long for the opportunity to become parents and can't wait to be blessed with a child to love.

About Us

We are Gary and Shannon. We have been together for a total of eight years, and the last two of those years we have been married. We met while working together at a photography studio. We bonded over the show Friends, marching band, and photography, and we started dating right away. Gary now works for a shipping distributor as an operations manager, and Shannon works as a nanny, caring for children who are aged two and five. In our free time, Gary likes playing video games, golf, and board games, and Shannon enjoys photography, puzzles, crafting, and spending time with family. We enjoy watching the Cardinals, mini golfing, bowling, and spending time with our silly, snuggly dogs, Chewy and Sophia.

Our Home & Pets

We have a spacious three-bedroom ranch with a sprawling basement and a beautiful flower bed. Our backyard is lush and fenced-in, and it is where our two dogs, Sophia and Chewy, love to run and play ball. They are great dogs who are playful, loving, and full of energy. We live in a lively community full of kids, dogs, and a top-rated school district. In our area of Missouri, we also have amusement parks, a large zoo, many parks, mini golf, bowling alleys, and local professional sports teams, so we are never without something to do as a family!

Our Extended Family

Shannon is from a family of six: she has two sisters, two brothers-in-law, and one brother. Her parents have been married for 35 years and live a half-mile from where we live. We have a niece and nephew who we love spending time with and spoiling rotten, and they have told us they can't wait to have a new baby cousin. Shannon also has eight aunts, eight uncles, and nineteen cousins! We all get together for holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and each year we try to do a family trip, whether it's a weekend at the lake or camping and floating.

Gary comes from a slightly smaller family. He has a younger sister and brother-in-law. His dad recently passed away, but before he passed he constantly talked about wanting grandkids. His mom, who was also adopted, is kind and is always thinking about her kids. We spend the Fourth of July and Christmas with them. When we go for Christmas, we always have fun playing board games, opening gifts, and watching movies. Gary's sister makes all of the dogs stockings and has already said she can't wait to spoil a niece or nephew in the future.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have wanted to adopt ever since we got together, and when we found out we had infertility issues, it encouraged us to start our journey sooner than we previously thought. We sought counsel with our friends, Betsy and Nic, who adopted last year, and we were encouraged through their story of love and hope. We are excited by the opportunity to be parents and grow our family, but truly, we are most excited about the adventure of adoption. We can't wait to experience parenthood and look forward to a little one to nurture.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
