dear expectant mother
As we sat down and thought about the adoption process, we thought about the courage and strength you have to make this difficult decision. Mostly we think about the amount of love you have for your baby. We can only imagine the emotions you are feeling while making your decisions, but we know you love your baby and want the best for him or her. We would raise your baby letting them know how much you love them and how blessed we are that you and God chose us to be their parents.
Both of our families are anxiously waiting to welcome a new baby into our family and hearts. We are praying for you and for your baby every day. If you choose us to be his or her parents, they will be raised in a Christian family filled with lots of smiles, giggles, hugs, kisses, and love.
Thank you for considering us and giving us the opportunity to express our desire to raise, encourage, and love on your baby. To us, you will always be a special angel who helped our dreams come true.
Our story began at church, where we both taught Sunday school class. Despite knowing each other, we did not become close friends until about six months after Pamela’s first husband passed away. Derik offered his help and support and was there for Pamela whenever she needed it. As time went on, after getting to know each other, we fell in love. Derik proposed on February 2, 2017, and we were married on July 15, 2017. Derik adopted Pamela’s children, Devon and Kirsten on October 2018, and loves them as his own. We are farmers who live a simple life out in the country, centered around God and family. Derik is a certified EMT. Pamela is a certified special education teacher but resigned from her position to be home for her family.
Our Home & Pets
We live out in the country between two towns on our farm in Texas. Both communities are filled with great people who have been there to support and encourage us. Our home has four bedrooms, three baths, and a family room where we have family game nights. We have a fenced-in backyard for outdoor family fun and where we can see the stars at night and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We share our home with three dogs (a cocker spaniel, a lab, and an Alaskan husky) and five cats.
Our Extended Family
Derik is the middle child of three boys. Derik and his family are all farmers and live within five miles of each other. Most of his cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as his grandmothers, live within an hour of us. We see Derik’s family regularly, and some of them we see daily.
Pamela is the baby of her family. She has an older half-sister and an older brother. Pamela talks to her siblings on a regular basis. Her parents live about seven to eight hours away, but we see them about eight to ten times a year and talk to each other at least every other week. Pamela’s cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandmothers all live within an hour as well, with a few exceptions.
We try to spend as much time as we can with our extended families and alternate holidays so we can spend time with each other’s families.
What Led Us To Adoption
Pamela is unable to conceive another child, but we would like to raise another child together. We prayed and talked about adopting and included Devon and Kirsten in the conversations. Both Devon and Kirsten are looking forward to having a new baby brother or sister. We feel that God has laid it on our hearts to show love and welcome another child into our family through adoption. After working in the church nursery and babysitting for church members, the love and desire to adopt a baby has increased tremendously. We feel that God has a child for us, and we already love him or her with all our hearts.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
