dear expectant mother
It must be overwhelming, reading through profile after profile, trying to find the right parents for your precious little one. We are honored to be among those you are considering. We wish you peace and guidance as you make this choice and look forward to the opportunity to get to know you.
We’ve been trying to grow our family for a while and have felt mind-numbing heartache when our dreams ended in miscarriage. For a long time, we felt like parents who didn’t have a baby. We are so overjoyed now that our first child has been born happy and healthy, and now, we feel so much more prepared and confident in adding another child to our family.
We’re so excited to see where this process will take us. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us. We look forward to becoming parents again through the miracle of adoption.
We got married in November of 2014, in Alicia’s hometown in South Dakota. Shortly after we tied the knot, we moved to South Carolina, but after Chris was in a motorcycle accident that resulted in a below-the-knee amputation, we decided to move back to Minnesota to be closer to family. Chris works as a sales associate in a local store, and Alicia works from home as a freelance writer. Chris is a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan and an avid gamer, and Alicia is a lover of books. We both enjoy kayaking, hiking, walking with our dogs, playing board games, spending time on the lake, watching Netflix, and traveling. Even better, we’re both absolutely smitten with our infant son, Vernon.
Our Home & Pets
Our house sits on a quiet, dead-end street in a small neighborhood, so luckily we don’t see much traffic. The split-level home has four bedrooms and sits on a small lake. The front and back yards are large and will be the perfect place for a child to play, and we’re just a short drive from town and are located in a good school district. We have two dogs, Perdy and Naga, who love playing in our yard, and two cats, Washburne and Asuna.
Our Extended Family
We’re close with both sides of our family and each have three siblings. Chris has two sisters and a brother, and his older sister is married with two children and lives in Ireland so we travel there to visit her whenever we can. This also means Chris’s mom is excited about the prospect of having a grandbaby a little closer to home. Alicia has three brothers, one of whom is married with three children. They are in South Dakota, and we go there frequently to visit.
With our families, we enjoy playing games, traveling, spending time outdoors, and going snowmobiling. We have traveled to Germany with Chris’s side of the family and are planning a Canadian fishing adventure with Alicia’s side! We feel lucky to have such supportive and amazing people in our lives.
What Led Us To Adoption
We had the family-planning talk before we even got married. We discussed how many kids we wanted and the timeline we imagined. Since the beginning, adoption has been part of our plan. We imagined our family would include both biological and adopted children . After more than a year of tears and heartache spent trying to conceive, we were blessed with our son Vernon. We’re ready and excited to grow our family through adoption!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
