dear expectant mother

We want to tell you thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us in your adoption search. We greatly admire you for your courage, strength, and love you have for your baby. We want you to know, if you choose us, your child will be entering a family and home full of love and laughter. As parents, we will cherish, provide for, and always support your child in every possible way. We also want you to know we’re totally open to whatever type of connection and communication you’re comfortable with.

Having adopted our youngest, we now understand how truly special and unique each journey is and are humbled by the limitless love both families are capable of. We sincerely hope you see something in us that gives you comfort and peace during this time.

Much love and admiration,
Mike, Alex, Luke, and Jake

About Us

We met as Peace Corps volunteers in Bolivia. We hit it off right away but were not married until after we both returned to the States. We are coming up on our 15-year anniversary and have two wonderful sons. Luke (13) is our biological son, and we were blessed with Jake (3) through adoption. They would love a little sister to play with and protect. Alexandra used to teach high school Spanish but currently works as a medical assistant. In her free time, she loves watching Spanish telenovelas, reading, ballroom dancing, hiking with our dogs, date nights, listening to music with Luke, and playing games with Jake. Mike is part owner of a family business that builds grain elevators in the Midwest and works as an arborist. Mike loves mountain biking, fishing, and any activity outside with the boys. We strive to enjoy life and to fill it with enriching experiences by traveling and helping others.

Our Home & Pets

We live on a small island in the Pacific Northwest. We have gray, wet winters, but the gorgeous, long days of summer make up for it! We like to travel to the desert, Hawaii, or Mexico every winter to dry out a little and get some sun! Everyone knows each other here, and it is very safe. We also have wonderful options for schools. We are conveniently close to shops and parks but also have access to great trails for hiking and the beach for kayaking. We have a spacious house next to a state park, so there is so much to do outside. We have a big playroom with tons of toys, a piano, and a trampoline. We also have two sweet dogs named George and Annie.

Our Extended Family

We are very lucky to have supportive and generous parents and amazing siblings. Mike’s parents live in Colorado, and his sister, her partner, and their two boys live in Massachusetts. We make great efforts to get the cousins together as they’re very close.

Alex’s mom (her dad died in 2018) lives in Oregon and loves to visit and help whenever she can. Alex’s brother is a single dad in rural Alaska and has three kids. We get together with each side of our family over most holidays and always plan a summer trip so the cousins can see each other.

Our Adoption Story

We were blessed to have our son Luke in 2008. He is a sensitive, bright, sweet, goofy kid who has filled our lives with lots of love and laughter. As Luke got older, we always knew we wanted to open our hearts and home to another child, and adoption felt like the right path. When Jake’s birthfamily picked us, our lives changed for the better, and ever since that moment, the whole journey has been a positive experience. Jake asks for a baby sister, and Luke is the most protective and loving brother. We are secure financially and enjoy being part of a wonderful, safe, open-minded community. We love being parents, and Luke and Jake would be the best big brothers!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
