dear expectant mother
We are so grateful you took the time to look at our profile to get to know a little bit about us, and we are praying for you as you make this very hard and selfless decision for you and your little one. If you choose us to raise your child, please know we will dedicate our lives to him or her. Your child will be raised as part of a very large and close knit family and will have all the love, support, and joy he or she could ever need or want. We know this has to be the hardest decision you have ever had to make, and we appreciate you considering us as a family for your child. Thank you for considering us, and we will continue to pray for you and your baby.
We are Aaron and Shelby. We met through Shelby’s brother when she was pregnant with Paisley. We soon came to realize we both had feelings for each other. After dating for a little while, we knew God meant for us to be together. We were married in July of 2017. Shelby is loyal, compassionate, and family oriented. She is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys crafting, sewing, gardening, and horses. Shelby enjoys being able to go on new adventures every day with Paisley. Aaron is a hard worker, supportive, and selfless. He works hard at a steel mill, and in his free time, he enjoys gardening, woodworking, and spending time with family. Family is a very big priority to both of us, so we make sure to always put aside time for family.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a farmhouse out in the country in Indiana. We live on four acres and have plenty of room to run and play. We have a swing set with a slide that is a big hit with Paisley and her cousins. We haven’t lived in our home for that long yet, but it feels just like home already, like we were always meant to be here. Our home is less than five minutes away from Aaron’s work and about 15 minutes away from all of our family. We have a cat and dog as well as five chickens, and we hope one day to have a horse or two, cows, and some goats for our children to show in 4-H.
Our Extended Family
With family being a big priority in our house, we have many family traditions that we keep with our extended families as well as just our little family. Every Wednesday night, we go to Shelby’s grandparents’ house and have supper with her whole family. On Sunday nights, we have a popcorn night with Aaron’s family. We enjoy this time with our families and watching Paisley grow a strong relationship with her cousins.
At Christmastime, we enjoy decorating the tree together and putting out cookies for Santa. Every year we drive through a Christmas light show, which is a big hit with Paisley. We also try to go camping, take in a drive-in movie, and take a little getaway trip every year. On Austin’s birthday, we remember her with a balloon release, which our families attend.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have both always dreamed of having a big family and have talked about growing our family since our wedding. In 2017 we had our daughter Austin 13 weeks early. We spent a month in the NICU loving on her before she passed away from complications of being born so early. Since then, we have experienced three more losses and infertility. We have prayed long and hard and felt God leading us toward adoption. We also feel His hands in all the steps we take in this journey. We know family does not need to be biological to have love. Our daughter Paisley is biologically Shelby’s, and Aaron is a wonderful dad who could not possibly love her any more than he does.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
