Dear birthmother,We are Mike and Lisa, and we want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and our dream of adding to our family. Though we cannot understand what you may be going through, we do have great admiration for your decision to make an adoption plan. We know that your decision comes from a deep love you have for your child, and we wish you courage, strength, and peace during this time. We have married for five year, and we are truly each others’ best friend. In 2007 we were blessed to adopt our daughter, Gabriella. Gabriella has enriched our lives so much, and we are looking forward to expanding our family through adoption for a second time. We both come from large families, and we feel it is important for Gabriella to have siblings to grow up with. If we are blessed to parent your child, we promise to raise them in a happy, loving, and safe home. We will encourage your child to develop their own interests and hobbies, even if they are different from ours or new to us. We will provide a good education for your child, and instill good values into them. We promise to always tell your child how much you love him or her. Your child will grow up knowing how wonderful adoption is, and that love truly creates a family. We hope that you will request to see our full profile to get to know us better. We met twelve years ago during our first week of college and started off as good friends. Before we knew it, we were inseparable.We have a strong, loving, and honest relationship and we are deeply committed to each other. 
About usLisa received her doctorate in pharmacy, and is currently working as a retail pharmacist only one day a week. Because we believe family is our first priority, Lisa is a stay-at-home mom. Lisa is a wonderful mother because she is such a kind, thoughtful, and loving person, who always thinks of others first. She is very patient and calm and I know she will lovingly support and encourage a child I also know her strong moral values and positive outlook on life will help a child grow into a happy well adjusted adult. Mike also received his doctorate in pharmacy, and currently works as a nuclear pharmacist. His work schedule is flexible which will always allow him to put his family first. Mike is a strong, caring, and sensitive person. Gabriella loves being around him because he makes her laugh. Mike enjoys learning and trying new things and is looking forward to teaching them to a child. I know he will love and care for a child. Mike is everything I could have hoped for in a husband, and is a fantastic father. 
Our home / Our petsOur home is always filled with love and laughter. We live in a four bedroom, two-story single family home in the western suburbs of Chicago. We made sure our house had plenty of room for a big family. Our neighborhood has several parks, ponds, and trails, along with young families and children of every age. Our town has an excellent school district, and we have an elementary school just one block away from our house. It is a wonderful community to raise a family. 
Our extended familyLisa grew up in a suburb of Chicago, and has three younger brothers. Her parents still live in the house she grew up in, which is located within a few miles of our home. We see her family often. Lisa’s large extended family lives within an hour from us so there is always something to do. Mike grew up in California and New York with his parents and his older brother. He was very involved in sports, especially lacrosse and soccer. When Mike’s parents retired they moved to the Southern Indiana to be closer to their extended family. However, Mike’s brother and his family live in Chicago also. 
Our adoption storyWe have always known that adoption would be the way we would have our family. In October of 2007 we were blessed to adopt our daughter, Gabriella.
