Dear birthmother,I know it must be a very difficult time for you right now and how much it takes a selfless act of love for birthparents to place their baby for adoption with another family. For that, you are very brave. I am adopted and lucky to have met my birthmother. Her explanation of her situation of why it was so hard for her to make the choice she did helps me to understand how hard it must be for you to make the decision you have come to. But, I know she did it because she wanted me to have the life that she was unable to provide. I have never taken that for granted. Since I am adopted, I understand the emotions your baby may through as he or she grows up and will be better able to help him or her understand and work through those emotions. I can provide a stable environment for your baby along with great schools, a safe neighborhood with families who have children for your baby to grow up and play with, a spacious clean home with a large fenced in backyard just waiting for a play set to be installed, and friendly pets (they were rescued) that come up to people who visit my home. When I am able to, I enjoy going to beaches for vacation and would enjoy seeing your child in awe of the ocean, running from the waves as they roll onto the beach and collecting seashells, just as I did was I was a child. I would love to have a Baby’s 1st Christmas ornament to place on my Christmas tree and add to it each year thereafter. Adopting your baby would be the best addition in my life to make it finally complete. I know I was chosen to adopt since I am adopted. I am a very lucky woman to have the parents I do because they chose me. Please do not let it deter you that I am a single woman who wants to adopt. I just have not found the right man yet to whom I want to share my future with. I want you to be reassured that I have an extended network of supportive family and friends who are always there for me should I need any help. I have been so excited for a long time to become a mother. It is a natural instinct to me. It is something I have been ready for during the last 10 years or so. I have a stable life and secure job. My boss and coworker are great to work with, are family oriented and fully support my decision to adopt. Thank you for taking the time to ready about me. I assure you I have a fully supportive network of family and friends in my choice to adopt and they are by my side. Your baby will receive the ultimate in unconditional love from me and my family. My family will love your baby the same way they love me because remember, I am adopted too. They are just as excited as I am to welcome a new addition to the family and are quite eager to start decorating the baby’s room. Let’s get to know each other. 
About usI was adopted as an infant. When I was young, about 5-12 years of age, I was in every extracurricular activity outside of school that you can think of. I was also an avid swimmer growing up. I love animals and have volunteered for animal shelters in the past. I have always had 3-4 pets since I was a child. I was quite shy in high school but had many friends from all cliques. I am close with my family. I attend college half-time while working full-time. 
Our home / Our petsI live in a middle-class neighborhood that has excellent schools nearby and several parks. Children of all ages live on my street as well as in the general neighborhood. My neighbors are friendly and we look out for each other. My spacious home is very comfortable with a “warm and cozy feeling” from the mouths of family and friends. During the summer, I enjoy growing veggies in my garden. My pets are well-behaved, very friendly and get along well. 
Our extended familyMy extended family is happy, fun and truly cares about others. I have a 13 year old cousin that I adore who calls me her “aunt/big sister” and we are very close. She is quite excited that I am adopting, already offering to baby-sit should I need it. She has taken baby-sitting classes at one of the local hospitals and is certified. My extended family all have various personalities between them and when we all come together our personalities compliment each other fabulously. I look forward to when we all get together. They are so super excited about my decision to adopt and fully support my decision to do so. 
What we do for funI really enjoy baking and cooking. People who know this get excited when I tell them I am making a new dish or baked goods for them to try. Christmas time is a very busy time for me making homemade candy, treats and cookies and I must say I am quite good at it. I enjoy playing and relaxing with my pets.
