Dear birthmother,First, let us say that we admire the strength, courage and faith you possess that brought you to this very moment. We know that you are in the process of making a decision that will greatly impact your life as well as the life of your unborn child. It is our hope that you will open your heart to the possibility that our family is a match for you and your child and you will find peace, comfort and happiness with this decision. We believe we offer a wonderful, loving home and can provide a great life with unlimited love and affection as well as financial security. We are a Christian family and feel that God has led us to expanding our family through adoption. We regularly attend church, say prayers with our children and openly talk about God and His importance in our life. We also want to instill in our children the values with which we were raised: honesty, respect, strong work ethic, integrity, self confidence and a belief in God. We have always been interested in adoption and discussed it as an option even before we had our two sons. We treasure our “family time” and have found pleasure in watching our children pursue their own interests through extra-curricular activities. It is now our priority to ensure the health and happiness of our children and to provide them with the tools, education and opportunity to achieve their dreams. We feel very blessed to have a healthy and loving family. We also feel that our family is incomplete and would cherish the opportunity to expand our family through adoption. We appreciate the time you have taken to consider us as a family for your child. Our prayers are with you. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” About usWhen we met in early 2000, we quickly realized our relationship would last a lifetime. One of the things we felt strongly about was a big family. We both come from families with three children and looking back, realize that our greatest childhood memories are those we made with our siblings. We have always been interested in adoption and discussed it as an option even before we had our two sons. Sharon grew up in a small town in southern California. As the youngest of three, (she has an older sister and brother), Sharon also excelled in sports at a young age, particularly soccer and track & field. She received her master’s degree in Sports Administration. Currently, she is an enthusiastic stay at home mom who enjoys volunteering at the boys’ school and in their classrooms. She is energetic and loves the chaos of life with two boys and cherishes the quiet and cuddly moments when she can get them. Sharon also enjoys going out with friends, movies, reading, and Sudoku puzzles. Joe has a fraternal twin brother and an older brother. For most of his childhood, Joe grew up on a lake in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. Currently, Joe works as a sales manager in the technology industry. He enjoys the flexibility that sales allows and is regularly home in the mornings and before dinner to spend quality time with our two boys. Joe enjoys coaching our boys’ soccer, basketball and T-ball teams. They all look forward to their “Daddy & Me” time, whether it’s playing cars, reading a book or washing the car. Joe also enjoys golfing, running, playing and watching sports, and researching investment opportunities. Our home / Our petsWe live on a cul-de-sac in a fairly new 4 bedroom, 2 story home with a playscape, sandbox and trampoline in the backyard. The neighborhood consists of people of all ages, but mainly families with kids of all ages. There is a community pool, playscape, soccer field, tennis courts, basketball court, and hiking trails within walking distance from our home. We have wonderful neighbors that are always there to lend a hand or a cup of milk. Our boys enjoy playing with their friends down the street or visiting with our next door neighbors. The moms in the neighborhood get together regularly for dinner or a movie. Our extended familyWe have two biological children, Michael and Drew. Michael turned seven in September. He is very smart, incredibly kind and has a strong sense of right and wrong. Drew turned five in July. He is outgoing, energetic and passionate about life and all it has to offer. Both boys are extremely excited about having another sibling and can’t wait to play with him/her and teach him/her everything they know! What we do for funAs a family, we enjoy our free time playing games (both indoor and outdoor), riding bikes and coaching our kids in extracurricular activities. We love to travel, take walks, and try new adventures. We especially treasure our family time in the evenings when we read books together. As a couple, we still enjoy our quiet moments together, whether it’s catching up on the days’ adventures or planning a future event. On our occasional date nights, we enjoy going out to dinner and a movie and/or visiting with friends. Facts About HusbandFacts About Wife |
