Thanks for taking a moment to read more about us. We cannot begin to imagine the difficult decision ahead of you, but we are so grateful that you chose adoption. Whether it be us or another couple, you are sharing the ultimate gift with hopeful parents. Whatever choice you make, we are in awe of your strength and courage. Although Chris and Whitney met on a blind date, we knew fairly soon that we would spend our lives together. Maybe it was our love of 80’s hair bands or the fact we drove the same car in high school, but fate intervened and we married a year later. We settled in a great family neighborhood in Nashville. Whitney is a very selfless, loving person. She is wonderful with children and her sense of humor can make a stranger laugh. She is very dedicated and compassionate to those less fortunate. She will be a wonderful mother. Chris is a kind and caring soul, who listens wholeheartedly. His patience is unwavering. He is a very gentle man, who goes to great lengths to rescue any bug that accidentally crawls into our house. He will be an amazing father. Hopefully, you learned more about us through this letter. It can be hard to put everything down on paper, as we are sure it can be overwhelming to read. Sometimes words may fall short, but we want you to know how thankful we are that you chose adoption. Your child will be placed in a loving home, where family is very important. About usChris grew up on a 1600-acre farm in Ohio. He is the youngest of three with an older brother and sister. Being raised on a farm, Chris is no stranger to hard work. He is self-employed and owns a toner recycling business. Fortunately, his business gives him a lot of flexibility and the store is located less than a mile from our home. He is even able to work from home if necessary. Whitney was raised in South Carolina, where all her family still resides. She has a younger sister with special needs, who lives with her parents. Whitney works as creative director for a music publisher. She is not only fortunate to have such an interesting career, but also work for a family-friendly corporation. She is able to take extended leave to care for a baby. Our extended familyWe also travel to see our families as often as possible. Usually once a month, we head to either Ohio or South Carolina. Holidays are very important events, where parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins always gather. It looks as though our family will never outgrow the “kid’s table.” While we are blessed with a wonderful marriage and family, we look forward to welcoming a baby into our lives. We will teach him/her that any dream is possible. We will love them unconditionally. We will encourage them, nurture them and always be proud of who they are. Our families will share their unfaltering love and all are excited to welcome a new addition. Our adoption storyOur marriage is a constant source of strength and love, even during past sad times we shared. We both have very strong family foundations and were raised with similar beliefs. Our families are an important part of our lives and we look forward to welcoming a baby into such a loving environment. Facts About HusbandFacts About Wife |
