Dear birthmother,Hi! We are Dan & Traci and we live in Virginia. We will provide a loving family for our child. It is important to us that he or she is given the best chance to experience a life of freedom, choice, and full self expression. We understand that it is probably your desire to choose the parents that will provide him or her best opportunities in all areas of life. It is our hope that you select us to parent, nurture, and raise your birth child. We want him or her to feel secure and safe in childhood and we will encourage the child to EMBRACE life and live it with GUSTO! We will provide a loving family for our child. It is important to us that he or she is given the best chance to experience a life of freedom, choice, and full self expression. We see it as a tremendous opportunity that you consider us to be the parents of your birth child. We know how important it is to encourage and empower young minds and we do not believe in making anyone feel small or that their opinion doesn't matter. Thank you for getting to know us and for considering us as parents to your birth child.A part of our parenting philosophy is to be firm with rules and open with communication and LOVE. In our hopes to be parents, we have completed our home study through a licensed agency.If you would like to meet us, we would welcome a time to do so. We feel that it is important that you be comfortable with us and understand that it must be difficult for you to make such a decision based on only a letter from us. We appreciate that you have taken the time to read our letter and consider us; we are open to any other communication that is important to you. We know that the decision that you are making is one of the biggest in your life. If you wish, we would love to share letters and pictures of the baby as he or she grows.If you desire less contact, we respect you. 
About usWe met in February of 2001 while working together at a restaurant in Washington DC,The Capital Grille.In 2004 we got married.Soon after we were married,we began to try to have a baby.On three occasions,Traci became pregnant and lost the child during pregnancy.The first miscarriage was on Mother's Day,3 years ago.On our third loss,we made the decision to adopt instead of going through with the risk and emotional impact of another miscarriage.We have a unique relationship wherein we spend a great deal of time with each other.Not only are we husband and wife,but we also business partners and best friends,and we look forward to adding the role of being parents.We own a successful real estate sales company and are partners in business.For the past several years we have been working hard to put ourselves in a position that we can devote much of our time with our future child and have done so by building a business that runs itself.We are in the position to be able to choose how we spend our time and will be able to live a balance that will allow for both of us to have the time to parent our child.Traci will take a leave from our company to be a full time Mom and Dan has a flexible schedule that will allow for much time with the child.We cannot imagine not having each other as a part of our lives and we know that we will feel the same about our child.The relationship that we share is truly one that we cherish;we consider each other an extension of the other.Traci loves people and animals.We have 3 cats;they are Sharkhan,Tigger,and Katie.Traci has always been involved with community events and helping others.We love spending time with family and really feel that family,faith in yourself and God,and contributing to others as well as being true to yourself create a very Happy Life!Dan is a leader in many areas.He is the President of a local Lions International Club and it is our club's mission to do charitable works for others in life. 
Our home / Our petsLarge open floor plan with a comfortable setting, with large mature tree lined streets and all the neighbors know eachother. 
Our extended familyWe live together in Virginia, where we have lots of family that live nearby that are excited for the new child. We have incredible relationships with our families. Traci has 3 brothers, Dan A., Shawn, and Steve. Steve is a First Sergeant in the Army and is currently serving in Iraq on his third tour. Shawn lives in Northern Virginia with his family, and Dan A. lives downtown Washington DC. Dan A. and Shawn both work for the family investment business. Dan has a brother that lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with his wife and three boys. Dan's brother is a Master plumber. Traci's parents live in Northern Virginia where they have a pool and 5 acres of land where they keep their horses. Traci’s Dad is head of his Financial Investment Group and her Mom is an artist. They also have a home on the water in Annapolis, Maryland where they keep their sailboats and enjoy the weekends. Dan's Mom lives very close to us and loves to make special crafts with all the kids. She is especially excited to become a grandmother. Dan's Dad lives in the mountains of Arizona and it even snows there! 
What we do for funWe look forward to sharing our travels with our child. Traci's favorite place in the world is HOME; she can make home be anywhere. We enjoy cooking and having dinner together and playing board games and going on bike rides around our neighborhood. Our favorite evening is one watching movies in front of a roaring fire.
