When we went through Angel Adoption with Carolyn and Sharon, we felt completely comfortable talking with them and working with them! They are really easy to talk to!

Race of child interested in adopting:

Dear birthmother,

We are Johnson and Lori, and we thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We are a fun-loving, hard-working and warm-hearted couple who is just waiting for that child that is meant to be ours. We are thankful every day for our generous and supportive families and friends, who always love us in spite of our flaws, and we are excited to share those blessings and more with a child. We hope you’ll take the next step to learn more about us by reading our full profile, and if there’s more you’d like to know, please ask! We want you to feel comfortable that your decision to choose us is the right one. Bless you for making this unselfish decision and giving us the opportunity to fulfill our dreams.

We are very excited that you want to “meet” us. We are thrilled and hopeful that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your precious baby. We met in June of ’03, and knew quickly that our relationship was a keeper – so much so that we had our first talk about children on our second date. Flash forward five years and we are still hoping, waiting and wanting to share our happiness and good fortune with a child. Which brings us to you! We have been blessed in so many ways and are grateful every day for the wonderful relationship we share with each other and with our friends and family, and we long to share those blessing with our child. We are confident of, and comforted by, the love and support that is all around us – we want only to share it with the child that is meant for us.

About us

Just a little about us: Lori works as a Project Manager for DaVita, a kidney care company, although when our child comes to stay, she will be a stay-at-home mom. Lori is also a freelance photographer who enjoys photographing children, families, mothers-to-be and special occasions of many kinds. Johnson works in human resources for Tractor Supply Company, which is a rural version of Lowe’s or Home Depot. Johnson spends a lot of time in his basement woodshop on projects ranging from building a rocking chair or a crib to finishing our basement to include a playroom, a gym and an office.

Our home / Our pets

We live in a small community just outside of Nashville called Fairview. We own a new home in a family-friendly subdivision with plenty of room and a yard that’s perfect for football-playing, tree climbing, tents and tea parties. For many years we lived in Los Angeles, but after we married we knew that our time there was short-lived. We imagined our futures in a place that was closer to our families and offered a better quality of life, so we packed up and moved to Tennessee.

Our extended family

We live a few miles from Johnson’s sister and brother-in-law and his father. Johnson also has a brother who lives with his family in Birmingham, Alabama. That brother has six children, and some of those children have children, so we do spend plenty of time perfecting our parenting skills! Lori’s parents, sister and brother-in-law live in Pennsylvania, and they speak weekly and visit as often as they can. We are very close to both sides of our family and they, along with our friends, are excited for us to grow our family by adoption.

What we do for fun

We are avid exercisers, sports fans, music fans, readers and animal lovers who thoroughly enjoy the company of our four cats (Boy, Nikki, Trudi and Phil). On any given weekend you may find us working in the yard or on some other home improvement project, exercising in our gym or at the park, watching a movie, joining friends to enjoy live music, barbequing with family and friends or gathered in front of the TV for a Titans game. The more time spent with family and friends the better, whether we gather for a special occasion or no special reason at all.
