Dear birthmother,Hi! Our names are Ashley and Mary and we live in the wonderful state of Georgia. We want to begin by telling you how thrilled we are to be considered in your adoption plans. We can only begin to imagine the difficulty of the decision you have made and hope that this information about ourselves will make this decision a little easier and give you the comfort of knowing your child will be raised in a loving, caring, Christian home. Our son Westley, who was adopted in 2007, is SO ready to become a big brother. He has been practicing his big brother skills in hopes of being the best big brother he can be! God has placed it in our hearts to grow our family again through adoption and we cannot wait to begin this wonderful journey. We love spending time together as a family fishing, grilling out, jumping on the trampoline, or doing arts and crafts. We have been together for 10 years and have been married for seven. Words cannot express how thankful we are that you are considering adoption. Our dream of having a family can only come true because of the courageous decision you have made. If you choose us we promise that we will provide all the love and support your child will ever need. Your child will be brought up in a home filled with love and laughter. We are so excited about growing our family through adoption. We look forward to the day when we can share all that we have with a new baby. Our thoughts are prayers are with you during this journey. God bless! About usWe met 10 years ago while Mary was a waitress paying her way through college and Ashley was just beginning at the Fire Department. We fell in love and after finishing up her bachelor’s degree; we got married and began our life together. Ashley is currently in his tenth year at the Fire Department where he has worked his way up to Lieutenant. His love and passion for helping people is exhibited in his dedication to his job at the fire department. On his off days he and his partner run a tile business. Ashley enjoys working with his hands and is very skilled at what he does. His recent endeavor is flipping a house, which turned out to be a very interesting and rewarding venture! Mary is a Media Specialist at a Fine Arts Academy where she has worked for six years. She specializes in connecting dance, art, music, and drama to technology. She loves performing in cabarets, which the teachers put on for the children every year, and is excited to be performing in the upcoming performance! Her spirit and love of learning is exhibited in everything she does. In 2007 we adopted our beautiful son Westley. We are still in contact with his birthmother and are delighted to begin our second adoption journey! Our home / Our petsWe live in a small subdivision where Ashley and his family have lived for nearly 30 years. Everyone knows everyone else and it’s one of those neighborhoods where you don’t feel embarrassed to run next door and borrow a cup of sugar. When we began our life together Ashley and I began remodeling our house to make it our home. We have a large backyard where our son delights in playing on his trampoline. We have a Dalmatian named Chief, and three cats; Yoda, Miss Kitty, and Oreo. Our family has a very compassionate heart for animals. It is our dream to one day own a rehabilitation farm where we take in animals in need. Over the years we have had many animals come through our doors and each and every one has found a loving home. Our extended familyIn 2007 God blessed us with our first (hopefully of many) adopted children. He is named after Mary’s favorite movie, The Princess Bride. Westley is a fun-loving, very smart three year old who enjoys karate and baseball. He loves art and music and jumping on his trampoline. When he grows up he wants to be a hockey man, a race car driver, and a doctor. Mary has one older sister, Amy, who is married with three children (all boys!). They are Max, 6, Nathyn, 5, and Logan, 2. Mary’s parents are still married and enjoy all the benefits of being grandparents to four little boys. Both Mary’s parents and sister live less than 10 minutes away. Mary’s grandfather and uncle also live nearby. Ashley has one older brother, Matt, who is not married, and one who is married living in Miami. Matt lives near us and visits often where he enjoys spoiling his nephew. Ashley’s mother and step-father live less than a mile away and are always there to lend a helping hand. We really are one big happy family! Both sides of the family spend every holiday, birthday, and special occasion together. Everyone is so excited for us to adopt again and our parents cannot wait to add another grandbaby into the mix! Our adoption storySince the moment we met, Ashley and I knew we were meant to spend our lives together. After we were married we tried for many years to get pregnant. We became pregnant twice however I never carried longer than 12 weeks. We tried many different fertility drugs over the next several years. However nothing seemed to work. There was nothing physically wrong with either one of us, yet conception eluded us. When we finally let go of our cross and laid it at God’s feet, his answer for us changed our lives forever. After 7 years of trying to conceive, God placed it on our hearts to adopt. What an amazing experience we had! God had a plan for us and when we finally accepted what his plan was, oh how blessed we became. I am thankful every day for the seven years of heartache we endured. Without it we wouldn’t have the amazing little boy we have today. After three years our family is ready to adopt again! Our son Westley is three years old and super excited about having a sibling. We have taught Westley all about adoption and are very open and honest with him. We explained how our baby is going to grow in someone else’s tummy while they grow in love in our hearts. Every pregnant person my son sees he asks me if that is our baby! He is such a nut! Facts About HusbandFacts About Wife |
