Dear birthmother,We are Tom and Samara. We want to thank you for making an adoption plan for your child and are grateful you would consider us as adoptive parents. We know there are times you are feeling uncertain or scared and adoption is not an easy decision. Whether you choose us as adoptive parents or not, you'll always be a "hero" to us, making (what we imagine to be) the hardest, most courageous decision of your life. You would be giving a family the greatest gift possible and making their ultimate dreams for a family a reality. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision, to choose us as adoptive parents, is the right one. No matter what, our hearts are with you as you move through life, and we wish you and your unborn baby peace, health, and happiness. Of course we would be overjoyed if you did choose us and as nurturing parents, we will give unconditional love, respect, support, and guidance to your child to help them reach their goals and make their dreams come true. We believe there is a child out there for us to love and share our lives with. We are so excited you are considering us as adoptive parents and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. About usIn 2004, we met at a health club and we realized we grew up in the same town. We started dating and were married shortly after. We have become each other's best friends and love spending free time together. Tom graduated with a Business degree and works at the Chicago Board Options Exchange as a business analyst. Tom is a wonderful guy with a big heart, who loves to work hard and play hard. He loves attending sporting events especially football games and he is so excited to share the experience with a child. He is very happy about the adoption and will be an amazing father. Samara graduated with a Fine Arts degree and is working for Jewel-Osco as an inventory analyst. She enjoys working on art projects and has some of her art pieces displayed in their house. Samara is a very loving and caring person, always putting the needs of others before her own. We know someday soon, she will be a wonderful mother. Our home / Our petsOur three bedroom home is a 20 minute drive from downtown Chicago and is ideally located to our work, family, friends, and church. From the first moment we saw the two extra bedrooms in our house, we knew they were for a child and their toys. We have a large fenced-in back yard that our two small dogs, Weasley and Gator, love to run and play in. Our neighborhood is full of friendly families with children of all ages. Two blocks from our house, there is a park with tennis courts, soccer field, little league field, public pool, and tot lot. During the summer, the town sponsors many families activities including a big Fourth of July party, concerts, and festivals. Our extended familyTom's parents are retired and live a few hours away in Wisconsin. Even though they already have seven grandchildren, they are absolutely thrilled about the arrival of our child. Tom is the second-oldest of five children. His older brother lives with his wife and two sons about 10 minutes from us. His sister, her husband, and their three daughters live in Wisconsin, nearby Tom's parents. One of his younger brothers lives with his wife and two daughters in Madison, Wisconsin. His youngest brother is a ski instructor living in Colorado. Tom's parents come to visit us once month and the whole family gets together in Wisconsin three or four times a year. In between visits, phone calls keep us in touch. Samara's parents were married for 20 years and Samara is the oldest of three daughters. Samara's dad is living 20 minutes away and visits often. Samara's mom is living in San Francisco. Samara and her mom talk on the phone at least once a week and her mom visits as much as she can. Samara's younger sister and her husband live 20 minutes away and they talk on the phone everyday. Her youngest sister lives in San Francisco and they communicate via phone and e-mail. Everyone is thrilled at the idea of bringing a new baby into the family; the baby will be the first grandchild and niece or nephew. This will also be the first great-grandchild for Samara's grandparents. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, and many cousins have always been a big part of both Tom and Samara's lives and they still are. What we do for funWe really enjoy being outdoors, no matter the season. In the springtime, Samara has plenty of flowers growing in the backyard and the dogs always try to dig them up. During the summer months, Tom tends to the lawn and grills everyday while Samara grows tomatoes and herbs. We play tennis regularly at the nearby courts and bike ride as much as we can. Although autumn is football season, there's raking of leaves to be done in our back yard. We, also, enjoy sitting outside reading and enjoying the last bit of nice weather. Christmas is our favorite holiday; we love putting the lights up decorating the outside and inside of our house. We do spend more time indoors in the winter. Samara loves cooking and baking while Tom can found watching sports, reading, and working on household projects. We really enjoy watching movies together and spending time with our pets and each other. Facts About HusbandFacts About Wife |
