Race of child interested in adopting: African American
Dear birthmother,First of all we want to let you know that you and your child are in our prayers. We are praying about our adoption as we follow where God leads. We know you are making decisions out of love for your child and maybe we can be part of God’s plan for you. We will love your child unconditionally! Our extended families will welcome your child and shower him/her with love! You will be a part of their story from the beginning. If you wish, we would love to send pictures and letters to you so that you will know how he/she is doing and that he/she is loved. We will give your child every opportunity to find their God-given passions and talents. We appreciate you considering us as a family. We know God has a plan. We would be honored if we are chosen to be the blessed parents of your child – and forever thankful. We will pray for you and that God gives you peace as well. About usAbout us – we are Brad and Sara. We have been married 18 years. We met at a church in Kansas where Sara’s dad was a pastor. Sara was in college at that time, and Brad had just started his first job. Soon after, we were married. We later moved to New Hampshire, and now we have three children who have blessed our lives! As a family we enjoy playing games, taking vacations, seeing movies, watching and playing sports, reading, and especially enjoying music. We are all excited about having a new addition to our family. We keep feeling like there should be one more and that God is leading us to adoption again (our youngest was adopted from Africa as a baby.) Our home / Our petsWe live in a four bedroom house in a small city in New England. We have 3 acres of land on a hillside near a lake. In our backyard are woods and trails to hike. We have a gorgeous view out of our windows. Our children play with the other neighborhood children regularly. We enjoy each season in special ways: strawberry picking in the spring, swimming and camping in the summer, hiking and apple picking in the fall, sledding and ice-skating in the winter. We love to celebrate the holidays and share family traditions. Weekend getaways and longer vacations are a favorite time for our family to make sure we are staying connected, have fun, and build special memories. We eat our meals together almost every day. And we love to have friends over to our house often. Our home is filled with laughter and warmth. Our extended familyBrad’s parents have been married for 45 years and Sara’s for 42 years. We are both blessed with wonderfully supportive and close-knit families. Even though we live a distance apart, we get together several times a year as well as talking frequently on the phone and by email. We take vacations every year to visit both sides of the family; sometimes we meet in new places to explore together. Every Christmas we spend with relatives at our house or theirs. There are cousins, aunts, uncles, great-grandparents, great aunts and uncles. We are a multi-cultural family already with our daughter, Lila, as well as with Sara’s adopted brother (who is Asiatic Indian American) and his wife (who is African American), along with their two young daughters. We are all enriched by our different backgrounds and hope to share that with your child as well. In Closing...Our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the foundation for our lives. We pray to hopefully live our lives to bring Him glory. We are very active in our church. Sara helps teach Sunday school and VBS. We host a home bible study/fellowship group in our home biweekly with other families and kids. We also help lead an adoption support group that meets once a month at our church. Brad and Kyle also help run the sound system for worship services. We very much cherish our church family. We will teach your child God’s Word and how much He loves them in all that we do. And we will try to help them to know God’s story for their life. Facts About HusbandFacts About Wife |
