When we went through Angel Adoption with Carolyn and Sharon, we felt completely comfortable talking with them and working with them! They are really easy to talk to!

This will be the best holiday ever. Thanks to you both. You have truly blessed us! Wishing you and your families a safe and healthy holiday!

We can't thank you enough for our miracle baby. May God bless you and shine His face upon you.

Dear birthmother,

We admire your courage and selflessness as you begin to look for a safe and loving home for the child you are expecting. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to share our lives with you and for considering us in your adoption plan. We promise to provide a loving, supportive and active family for your child. We sincerely look forward to meeting with you and sharing our hopes and dreams for your child.

We believe that children should be raised with love, understanding, patience and fun. We value family, education, and respect. We hope to provide our children with many opportunities to learn, both in and out of the classroom, and for higher education if they choose. We’ll expose them to many new experiences. We will teach them to swim, to appreciate art and theater, and to play different sports. Our son already plays soccer and he swims like a fish and our daughter is a little gymnast and musically inclined. We’ll do chores together, like folding the laundry and learning to cook. Our house is filled with big hugs and lots of kisses, tickle fights, and snuggling time while reading together. We eat dinner together most nights and share about our day. Our faith is very important to us and we go to church together every Sunday. We will cheer our children on when they succeed, be there to wipe the tears away when they hurt, and love them every day. Our home is filled with love, laughter, and support and we can’t wait to welcome a new life into it. We appreciate you considering us to be the parents of your child. Mark and I always wanted children and always talked about adoption, even before we discovered our infertility issue. We were blessed with our son, Braden, five years ago. Two years ago, we adopted Mackenzie, and she is an amazing miracle. We love being parents. We had a great adoption experience with Mackenzie and we know we have more love to share with another child. Braden loves his little sister and says she is “so beautiful and so tiny”. He says he wants “a baby brother and another baby sister” and is excited to be a big brother again. Mackenzie will be a sweet and loving big sister. We all hope for another baby to love and cherish.

About us

Mark and I met in college and knew right away that we were meant for each other. Mark was a pitcher on the baseball team and I used to go to all of his games. We dated for seven years before getting married in July of 2000. We have been through so much together and have a deep love and a strong commitment. We are best friends and love to spend time together. I consider myself a stay-at-home mom because I am lucky enough to spend my days with our kids. I love that I have had the chance to be there for all of their “firsts”. We attend playgroups, participate in music class, go to library story time, and to the children’s museum. My favorite moments are the small ones, like when they fall asleep on my chest, or snuggling together and reading a book. I work as a Youth Minister at our church, which offers me great flexibility. I work one or two evenings a week, and one day on the weekend. Mark is with our kids during those times, and it gives them a great chance to bond. I enjoy my job because it gives me the opportunity to guide high school teenagers in their faith. Mark is a high school teacher and a coach. He loves teaching kids about history and geography and has a great relationship with his students. He also coaches football. Fortunately, I am also passionate about football, so the kids and I attend all of his games. Eventually our kids will be the “ball kids” at the games. Mark used to coach baseball, but he gave it up after our son was born to have more time to spend with our family.

Our Home

Our home / Our pets

We own a four bedroom home in a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of young children to play with. Our nursery is awaiting our new arrival and is decorated with an underwater theme. We have a large fenced backyard with a play set and lots of toys, and we live within walking distance of two parks. We frequently ride our bikes to the downtown area to go swimming in the pool, or to feed the ducks on the river. Our town is rated one of the best places to raise children and we have excellent schools. We have a sweet dog named Bailey who is gentle and loving with our kids.

Our extended family

Our families are very important to us and we spend lots of time with them. Both of our parents have been married for over 35 years and are wonderful examples to us. All of our family lives within 30 minutes of us, so we see them several times a week. Our parents can’t wait for another grandchild to spoil. My parents, Grammy and Pa, teach the kids to bake oatmeal cookies, take them camping and to the playground. Mark’s parents, Grandma and Grandpa, love to take the kids fishing and bowling, and to play Thomas the Train and dolls with them. I have one brother and Mark has a brother and two sisters who all adore kids. I have a large extended family that we see frequently. One of my favorite cousins, Mackenzie’s Godmother, is adopted and another cousin recently adopted a little girl, so my family is very comfortable with adoption. We spend holidays with both of our extended families, sometimes at our home. They can’t wait to welcome a new baby into our family.

What we do for fun

We love to travel to places far and near. We especially loved traveling to Europe, experiencing new cultures, languages, food, and history. We hosted a Spanish exchange student for three summers and enjoyed showing him the sights in the U.S. We also spent time with his family in Spain. We have already traveled with our kids to Germany, California, Michigan, and many local trips. Mark has summers and school holidays off, which gives us lots of time to go to the zoo, the arboretum, the museums, downtown Chicago, and to local festivals. We are adventurous and love being outdoors. We enjoy camping, hiking, and biking together. Our kids enjoy hiking with us. Mackenzie rides in a backpack and Braden is an awesome hiker. Both kids ride behind us in a bike carrier. While camping, we love a peaceful evening, sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and watching for shooting stars. In the winter, we love sledding, skating, and skiing.
